RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AND/OR REAPPOINTING A DIRECTOR OR
DIRECTORS TO THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR SECTION 4A ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (REQUESTED BY COUNCILMEMBER
HAMILTON)
WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development
Corporation was created by Ordinance No. 96-08 ; and
WHEREAS, the term of office is three years; and
WHEREAS, the following persons are the current directors for the
City of Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development Corporation:

Position 1 Rev. Darrell Anderson May 31, 2017

Position 2 Eli Roberts May 31, 2016 *
Position 3 Christy DeRouen May 31, 2017
Position 4 Kenneth Marks July 26, 2019

Position 7 Dallas Smith May 31, 2017

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 7 . 03 of the City of Port Arthur
Section 4A Economic Development Corporation bylaws, Directors shall
be appointed by the respective councilmembers whose position
corresponds to the position for which the appointment is made; and

WHEREAS, the term for the Director Position 2 has expired, and
Councilmember Hamilton wishes to reappoint Eli Roberts, as Director
Position 2 .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are
true and correct .
Section 2 . That this resolution will document said
appointment for the purpose of the public record, and verifies that
the following persons are the Directors for the City of Port Arthur
