RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AND/OR REAPPOINTING A MEMBER
OR MEMBERS TO THE PLEASURE ISLAND ADVISORY COMMITTEE
(REQUESTED BY COUNCILMEMBER MOSES)
WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur Pleasure Island Commission
was created by Ordinance No. 70-56 ; and
WHEREAS, on May 11, 2013 the citizens of Port Arthur voted
to bring the Pleasure Island Commission under the direction of
the City Manager and changed the name of the board to the
Pleasure Island Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, the term of office is four years, and
WHEREAS, the following persons are the current directors
for the Pleasure Island Advisory Committee :

Position 1 Rev. Darrell Anderson June 28 , 2015
Position 2 Ranyell Ozen April 14 , 2019

WHEREAS, Board members can be removed by vote of City
Council; and
WHEREAS, Evette Joseph has resigned as Director of Position
7, and Councilmember Moses would like to appoint
as Director of Position 7 to the Pleasure
Island Advisory Committee to serve the unexpired term of Evette
Joseph.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble
are true and correct .
Section 2 . That this resolution will document said
appointment for the purpose of the public record, and verifies
that the following persons are the Directors for the Pleasure
Island Advisory Committee:
