VII. STAFF REPORT
1. Invitation submitted to Planning and Zoning Commissioners to attend the Annual American
Planning Association - Texas Chapter Conference in San Antonio, TX, November 2 - 4, 2016;
2. Planning Staff and Representatives with City Consultants, Freese and Nichols, Inc. will meet with
stakeholders (i.e. DD #7, Museum of the Gulf Coast, P.A.I.S.D., Port Arthur Historical Landmark
Commission, Port Arthur Conventions 81 Visitors Bureau, etc.) on September 21, 2016 at 12:00
p.m. to discuss the City of Port Arthur Comprehensive Plan; CPAC Committee Meeting(s) will
reconvene following stakeholder meetings;
3. Discussion held with Planning and Zoning Commissioners regarding the need for street lights at
the intersection of U.S. Highway 69 feeder road and 60th Street, 615' Street and Lake Arthur Drive;
4. Request made to City Staff to contact TXDOT regarding the condition of ditches, including drainage
issues on U.S. Highway 69 within the corporate city limits.
