No. 19557—Appointing and/or re-appointing member(s) to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Nature of the request: Attached is P.R. No. 19557 appointing and/or re-appointing a member to the Planning and Zoning Commission in accordance with the City Codes and Charter. Staff Analysis/Considerations: None Recommendation: It is recommended that the Port Arthur City Council appoint a member to serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission for a term of five (5) years. New expiration date would be October 30, 2021. The position is currently being held by Inell Moore, who term expires October 30, 2016. A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AND/OR REAPPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION WHEREAS, the term of Planning and Zoning Commissioner Inell Moore will expire on October 30, 2016, as delineated in Exhibit"A"; and, WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 1 of Article XI of the Charter of the City of Port Arthur, it is necessary to fill the expired term; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1: That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2: That is appointed/reappointed to serve as a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission for a five (5) year term, expiring October 30, 2021, as delineated in Exhibit`B". Section 3: That the appointee shall immediately contact the City Secretary's Office and be sworn in. Section 4: That this Resolution shall be effective immediately. Section 5: That a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
