RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
LEASE RENEWAL AMENDMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR
AND THE STATE OF TEXAS ON BEHALF OF THE TEXAS PARKS AND
WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 601
CHANNEL VIEW DRIVE, PLEASURE ISLAND, PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS .
WHEREAS, on December 29, 1999, the Pleasure Island Commission
entered into a lease agreement with the State of Texas on behalf of
the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the property located at
601 Channel View Drive, Port Arthur; and
WHEREAS, the State of Texas on behalf of the occupying agency,
the Texas Park and Wildlife Department (TPWD) has requested to
renew this lease agreement, between governmental agencies with the
City of Port Arthur for an additional 120 months beginning
September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2027 .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT ARTHUR:
Section 1 . That the facts and opinions in the preamble are
true and correct.
Section 2 . That the City Council hereby authorizes the
City Manager to execute the Lease Renewal Amendment with the State
of Texas, in substantially the same form attached here to as
Exhibit "A" .
Section 3. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution
shall be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council .

LEASE RENEWAL AMENDMENT
Lease: 1663 Port Arthur
Term: 09/01/2012 through 08/31/2017
This Lease Renewal Amendment is made and entered into between the LESSOR,
CITY OF PORT ARTHUR, and LESSEE, STATE OF TEXAS acting by and through the Texas
Facilities Commission, for and on behalf of the occupying agency, the Texas Parks and Wildlife
Department(TPWD).
The term of the Lease is renewed for 120 months, from September 1, 2017 through
August 31, 2027 for the leased premises comprised of 2,330 square feet of space at $4.64 annual
rate per square foot for a total of$900.00 per month.
The Texas Facilities Commission shall have the right to cancel this lease, by giving to the Lessor,
written notice of such cancellation at least 180 days prior to the desired cancellation date. Lease
may not be cancelled prior to August 31, 2022.
All other terms and conditions of the Lease remain the same and continue in full force and effect.
This Lease Renewal Amendment is by mutual agreement between Lessee and Lessor.
