RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADOPTION OF A NEW LOGO AND
SLOGAN FOR THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR (REQUESTED BY
COUNCILMEMBER HAMILTON)
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 16-155, the City Council
entered in a contract with e. Sullivan Advertising of Port Neches,
Texas, to create a new city logo and slogan for the City of Port
Arthur; and
WHEREAS, e.Sullivan Advertising has now completed the task and
would like to submit the proposed logos for consideration by the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, the logos are attached hereto as Exhibits "A-1" thru
"A-70"; and
WHEREAS, the slogans are attached hereto as Exhibits "B-1 thru
"B-3" .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT ARTHUR:
Section 1 . That the facts and opinions in the preamble are
true and correct.
Section 2 . That City Council hereby authorizes a new logo
for the City of Port Arthur attached hereto as Logo Type "i;IMI" to
be implemented as follows:

Section 3 . That City Council hereby authorizes a new
slogan for the City of Port Arthur attached hereto as Slogan Type
Section 4 . That a copy of the caption of this Resolution
shall be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council .
READ, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED, this day of
2017 AD, at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Port Arthur, Texas by the following vote : AYES :
