The Planning and Zoning Commission is being requested to review and consider a request to
abandon the following:
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Notification of this proposed abandonment has been submitted to all utility entities servicing
Port Arthur for comment and acceptance. The Planning Staff has not received any objections to
this request.
On Friday, April 21, 201 7, twelve (12) notices were mailed to adjacent property owners within
a 200 ft. radius and the notice was published in the Port Arthur News on Thursday, April 20,
201 7, more than ten (10) days prior to the P8zZ public hearing scheduled for May 1, 201 7.
FISCAL IMPACT/BUDGET IMPLICATIONS:
N/A
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends the Planning and Zoning Commission approve this request for abandonment.
A replat will be required upon final approval of abandonment.

The Planning and Zoning Commission met in Regular Session on Monday, April 17, 201 7 at 5:30 p.m.
in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 444 41h Street, Port Arthur, Texas 77640.
