RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE THIRD YEAR (FIRST
RENEWAL) OF THE CONTRACT WITH MCCREARY, VESELKA,
BRAGG & ALLEN, P.C. OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, FOR
COLLECTION OF MUNICIPAL COURT FINES
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 15-270, the City Council approved a two-year
contract with McCreary, Veselka, Bragg & Allen, P.C. of Round Rock, Texas, for collection of
Municipal Court Fines, which included an option to renew for two additional two-year periods.
WHEREAS, the City desires to renew said collection service contract for an additional
two-years (first renewal).
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PORT ARTHUR:
Section 1. That, the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct.
Section 2. That, the City Council of the City of Port Arthur hereby approves an
additional two-years (first renewal) of the contract between the City of Port Arthur and
Mccreary, Veselka, Bragg & Allen, P.C. Of Round Rock, Texas, in substantially the same form
as attached hereto as Exhibit"A".
Section 3. That, a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes
of the City Council.

COLLECTION SERVICES CONTRACT
FOR
MUNICIPAL COURT
THIS AGREEMENT, is made the day of , 2017, by and between
the City of Port Arthur, a municipal corporation organized under the laws of the State of Texas.
hereinafter called "OWNER" or "CITY" and McCreary, Veselka, Bragg & Allen, P.C. Of Round
Rock, Texas, herein acting by and through hereinafter called "VENDOR"
agree as follows:
WITNESSETH: That for and in consideration of the payments, terms, conditions, and
agreements set forth herein, OWNER and VENDOR agree as follows:
1. The term of this Contract shall be for two (2) years, with the option to renew for one (1)
additional two-year period, from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The City can
terminate this contract at its convenience with thirty (30) days written notice.
2. The Vendor will provide collection services as delineated and submitted in RFP P15-051,
dated June 2, 2015.
3. During the term of this Contract, the Vendor will furnish all of the services as stated in
the specification, described as:
Maximize Your Delinquent Court Collections submitted on June 2,2015.
4. The Vendor agrees to enforce the collection of delinquent Court fees and fines as stated
in the proposal dated June 2, 2016.
5. The term "Contract Documents" means and includes the following:
(A) Agreement
(B) Specifications/General Information/Bid **
(C) Addendum(1) **
(D) Notice to Proceed
**These items were attached to the original letting contract. This agreement is only
included in this renewal.
6. This agreement shall be binding upon all parties hereto and their respective heirs.

their duly authorized officials, this Agreement in (2 copies) each of which shall be
