INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM
Office of the Department of Inspections & Code Enforcement
Demolition Division
Date: November 3, 2017
To: Brian McDougal, City Manager
Mayor and City Council
From: Darlene Thomas-Pierre, Director of Code Compliance & Inspections
Re: P. O. NO. 6643 — AMENDING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE
CONSTRUCTION BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS.
COMMENT
Nature of the Request:
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt P. 0. No. 6643. This is an update of the current Rules and
Regulations for the Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals.
Staff Analysis/Considerations: The Board amended Rules and Regulations in 2015. The current Building
Code at that time was the Standard Building Code, 1998 edition. The current Building Code in place at
this time is the 2012 International Building Codes.
This update to the Construction Board by-laws will propose an increase in the number of members and
the number of members that comprise a quorum.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt P. 0. No. 6643, thereby amending the Rules and
Regulations of the Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals.
Budget Consideration: Not Applicable.
