RESOLUTION N0.
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT TO
SOLICIT PROPOSALS FROM QUALIFIED SEARCH FIRMS AS IT
PERTAINS TO THE CITY MANAGER POSITION
WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur City Manager position will
become vacant on November 21, 2017 ; and
WHEREAS, said office is critical to the efficient and
effective provision of services to the citizens of Port Arthur
through municipal operations ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to solicit proposals from
qualified search firms as it pertains to the City Manager position.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS:
Section 1 . That the facts and opinions in the preamble are
true and correct .
Section 2 . That the City Council hereby directs the
Purchasing Department to solicit proposals from qualified search
firms as it pertains to the City Manager' s position.
Section 3 . That a copy of the caption of this Resolution
be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council .
READ, ADOPTED AND APPROVED on this day of November, A.D. ,
2017, at a Meeting of the City Council of the City of Port Arthur,
