The estimated annual total for all of these chemicals is $60,000, and is budgeted from Account No. 410-1255-532.29-02, Treatment Chemicals. It is recommended that City Council approve P. R. Background: Our Wastewater Conveyance crew will use these biological aids to keep sewer lines clear of fats, oils, and grease. We have tested several chemicals in different lift station environments and have found certain sole vendor-source products which work best in each unique lift station environment. We currently have found four (4) different chemicals that help us reduce odors and neutralize fats, oils, and grease in the collection system lift stations, depending on the unique challenges at each site. All wastewater treatment chemicals are administered by trained employees who are properly certified by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
