RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AND/OR REAPPOINTING A
MEMBER OR MEMBERS TO THE GOLF COURSE COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port Arthur desires to provide, and
maintain, quality golf courses for its citizens; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council established a Golf Course Committee by Resolution
Numbers 76-205 and 95-070, respectively, for the purpose of assisting, and advising,
the City Council on golf course matters; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 18-118, the voting and non-voting members
total nine (9) members; and,
WHEREAS, the following persons are the current voting, and non-voting
members for the Golf Course Committee:
VOTING MEMBERS NON-VOTING MEMBERS
Councilmember Raymond Scott City Manager and/or his designee
Councilmember Osman Swati Director of Parks & Recreation
Mayor Derrick Ford Freeman Mitch Duncan, Golf Course Director
CITIZEN VOTING MEMBERS
Emanuel Preston
Robert Lynch
WHEREAS, the term of Councilmember Swati has expired on the City Council,
and it is now necessary to appoint another voting member to the committee; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port Arthur, Texas, deems it in the
best interest of the citizens to appoint a new voting member to said committee for the
stated purposes.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct.
Section 2. That Councilmember is appointed as the
voting member of the Golf Course Committee.
Section 3. That this resolution will document said appointments for the
purpose of the public record, and verify that the following persons are the voting and
non-voting members of the Golf Course Committee:

Councilmember Raymond Scott City Manager and/or his designee
Councilmember Director of Parks & Recreation
Mayor Derrick Ford Freeman Mitch Duncan, Golf Course Director

Section 4. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the
Minutes of the City Council.
