Streets Update Presentation
Nov. 20, 2018
Types of Street Projects
Reconstruction Projects – Projects that address the entire street
structure plus drainage improvements, utility replacement or
realignment and sidewalks.
Remedial Projects – Projects that can extend the life of the streets by
3 to 5 years by reclaiming and resurfacing the streets for a fraction of
the cost of reconstruction. This method will provide better streets for
the citizens while providing the City time to fund their reconstruction
projects in the future.
Rehabilitation Projects – Streets that show extensive pavement
distress but not to the point that reconstruction is necessary.
