Introduction:
Authorize the final year, second renewal, of the contract for the repairing/refurbishing
commercial refuse containers for the Public Works Solid Waste Division.
Background:
This is an annual contract for repairing/refurbishing commercial containers used at business
throughout the City. Double W. Services, L.L.C. of Meridian, Texas,was awarded the
contract on Resolution 17-011, with an option to renew for two additional years and renewed
for the second year per Resolution 17-304. This is the final year of this contract.
Budget Impact:
The projected budgetary impact is estimated at$50,000. Funds are provided in account no.
403-1273-533.59-00, Public Works Solid Waste Container Service Division—Other
Contractual Services.
Recommendation:
Approve the final year of the repairing/refurbishing commercial refuse containers with Double
W. Services, L. L. C.

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SECOND RENEWAL, FINAL
YEAR, OF AN ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH DOUBLE W. SERVICES,
L.L.C. OF MERIDIAN, TEXAS FOR THE REPAIR AND
REFURBISHING OF REFUSE CONTAINERS WITH A PROJECTED
BUDGETARY IMPACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,000; FUNDS ARE
AVAILABLE IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT SOLID WASTE
CONTAINER SERVICE DIVISION — OTHER CONTRACTUAL
SERVICES ACCOUNT NO. 403-1273-533.59-00.
WHEREAS, Double W. Services, L.L.C. was awarded a contract to repair and refurbish
refuse containers for the City per Resolution No. 17-011; and,
WHEREAS, per Resolution No. 17-304 the City authorized the first renewal of this
contract with Double W. Services, L.L.C; and,
WHEREAS,this is the second renewal and final year of this contract; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
ARTHUR:
THAT, the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct; and,
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the second renewal and final
year of the contract to repair and refurbish refuse containers with Double W. Services, L.L.C., of
Meridian,Texas, in substantially the same form as attached here to as Exhibit"A"; and,
THAT, funding is available in the Public Works Department Solid Waste Container
Service Division—Other Contractual Services account no. 403-1273-533.59-00; and,
THAT, a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City
Council.

CONTRACT FOR REPAIRING/REFURBISHING OF
REFUSE CONTAINERS
THIS AGREEMENT, made this day of , 20 ,
by and between the City of Port Arthur, a municipal corporation organized under the laws
of the State of Texas, hereinafter called "OWNER" or "CITY" and Double W. Services,
L.L.0 a(n)hereinafter called "CONTRACTOR"
WITNESSETH: That for and in consideration of the payment terms, conditions
and agreements set forth herein , OWNER and CONTRACTOR agree as follows:
1. The term of this Contract renewal shall be from February 10, 2019 to February 9, 2020
2. During the term of this Contract, the Contractor will furnish at his own expense all of the
materials, supplies, tools, equipment, labor and other services necessary to connection
therewith, excepting those supplies specifically not required of Contract in the Specifications.
3. The CONTRACTOR agrees to perform all the work described in the Specifications and
Contract Documents and to comply with the terms therein for the prices stated in the contract
documents_
4. The term "Contract Documents" means and includes the following:
1) Agreement
2) Invitation to Bid
3) General Information
/l) Specification&
5) Bid

7) Notice to Proceed
*These items were attached to the original letting contract. This agreement is only included
in this renewal.
5. This Agreement shall be binding upon all parties hereto and their respective heirs, executors,
administrators, successors and assigns.
8. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed, or caused to be executed by their
duly authorized officials, this Agreement in ( 2 copies) each of which shall be deemed an
original on the date first above written.
