No. 20676—License for construction of Recreational Vehicle (RV) Park Introduction: The intent of this Agenda Item is to seek the City Council's approval of Proposed Resolution No. 20676, authorizing a license for the construction of a recreational vehicle park on approximately 12.024-acre of Land consisting of Tracts I & II out of Lots 16, 28, 41, &55, Peek Addition (located south of F.M. Highway 365 and east of Davis Avenue), Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas. Background: In accordance with Chapter 58,Article III of the City of Port Arthur Code of Ordinances any person intending to establish a recreational vehicle park shall first submit a site plan meeting all the requirements of this article to the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Port Arthur for consideration and approval. Upon approval of the site plan, an application for the initial license to operate the RV Park shall be made to City Council, On August 20, 2018, in a vote of 3:0, the City of Port Arthur Planning and Zoning Commission approved Site Plan request: S18-03 for the establishment of said recreational vehicle park. Budget Impact: None Recommendation: It is recommended that City Council approve Proposed Resolution No. 20676, authorizing a license for the construction of a recreational vehicle park on approximately 12.024-acre of Land consisting of Tracts I & II out of Lots 16, 28, 41, & 55, Peek Addition (located south of F.M. Highway 365 and east of Davis Avenue), Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A LICENSE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE PARK ON APPROXIMATELY 12.024 ACRES OF LAND CONSISTING OF TRACT I, 7.650 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF LOTS 16 AND 28, PEEK ADDITION AND TRACT II, 4.374 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF LOTS 41 & 55, PEEK ADDITION (LOCATED SOUTH OF F.M. HIGHWAY 365 AND EAST OF DAVIS AVENUE), PORT ARTHUR, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS WHEREAS, DRK Properties, Inc. has requested a license for the construction of a Recreational Vehicle Park on approximately 12.024 Acres of Land consisting of Tract I, 7.650 Acres of Land out of Lots 16 and 28, Peek Addition and Tract II, 4.374 Acres of Land out of Lots 41 & 55, Peek Addition, Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas; and, WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 58, Article I Il, Section 58-123 of the City of Port Arthur Code of Ordinances, any person intending to establish a recreational vehicle park shall first submit a site plan meeting all the requirements of this article to the planning and zoning commission of the city for consideration and approval; and, WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the site plan on August 20, 2018, at a regularly scheduled meeting; and, WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 58, Article III, Section 58-124 of the City of Port Arthur Code of Ordinances, application for the initial license to operate a recreational vehicle park shall be made to the City Council of the City of Port Arthur; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: THAT, the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. THAT, a license is hereby granted to DRK Properties, Inc. for the construction of a Recreational Vehicle Park on approximately 12.024 Acres of Land consisting of Tract I, 7.650 Acres of Land out of Lots 16 and 28, Peek Addition and Tract II, 4.374 Acres of Land out of Lots 41 & 55, Peek Addition, Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas, in substantial compliance with the site plan attached as Exhibit"A". P.R. NO. 20676 02110/2019 pdl PAGE 2 OF 4 THAT, the recreational vehicle park shall be constructed in accordance with Chapter 58, Article III of the City of Port Arthur Code of Ordinances. THAT, a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the City Council.
