All five (5) Appraisal District board positions are open for appointment each odd-numbered year, there are a total of 5,000 votes allocated among the voting entities. The number of votes allocated to your entity is: 60 Before October 15th, taxing units may nominate by resolution adopted by its governing body, one candidate for each position to be filled on the Board of Directors, or any number from one to five candidates. Names of the unit's nominees are submitted to the Chief Appraiser. Board members serve 2-year terms, the next term running from January 1, 2020 to December 31,2021. The candidates must meet the requirements set forth in the Property Tax Code, Section 6.03(a). After nominations are received, an official ballot will be delivered to your entity by the end of October.
