OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS BY THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR SECTION 4A ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $11,949.00; FUNDING AVAILABLE IN PAEDC ACCOUNT NO. 120-1429-582.92-00 WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development Corporation ("PAEDC") owns several properties in the City of Port Arthur; and WHEREAS,PAEDC has a property maintenance staff member who is responsible for the cutting of the grass on certain properties and certain areas of the Spur 93 Business Park and is equipped with the necessary equipment to maintain the properties' grass; and WHEREAS, PAEDC is in need of a new commercial riding mower to replace the current mower that has reached its life expectancy and is no longer in working condition; and WHEREAS, PAEDC has obtained three quotes for comparable commercial mowers, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and recommends the purchase of the Ferris IS 3200 sold by All Terrain Equipment Co. of Beaumont, Texas in the amount of$11,949.00; and WHEREAS, at their regular Board meeting of October 7, 2019, the PAEDC Board of Directors approved purchasing the Ferris IS 3200 commercial riding mower from All Terrain Equipment Co. of Beaumont, Texas in the amount of$11,949.00 NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR,TEXAS: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Port Arthur authorizes PAEDC to purchase the Ferris IS 3200 commercial riding mower from All Terrain Equipment Co. of Beaumont,Texas in the amount of$11,949.00.
