A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 19-026 PERTAINING TO THE COMPLETE COUNT COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR IN SUPPORT OF THE 2020 UNITED STATES CENSUS WHEREAS, the City Council of City of Port Arthur supports the complete count of its citizens pursuant Article 1, Section 2 of the United States Constitution; and, WHEREAS, the City Council in evidence of said support created, pursuant to Resolution 19-026, the Complete Count Committee to aid in planning and community outreach to facilitate a complete count of the citizens of Port Arthur; and, WHEREAS, the City Council deems the work of the Complete Count Committee to be necessary, and critical, to achieving a complete count of the city' s citizens; and, WHEREAS, the City Council deems it reasonable and appropriate and in the best interest of the city toadd additional members to the Complete Count Committee in order to optimize the Committee' s effectiveness; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS: Section 1: That the facts and opinions of the preamble are true and correct. Section 2: That the City Council remains committed to the goal of a complete count of Port Arthur citizens in the 2020 Census . Section 3: That the City Council in order to aid the Complete Count Committee in working toward the goal of a complete count of all citizens hereby adds the following individuals to the Complete Count Committee; to wit: Section 4: That a copy of the caption of the Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
