Background: Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that serves Jefferson, Orange and Hardin Counties whose mission is to assist law enforcement in getting criminals off our streets and bringing justice to victims of crimes. Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas has a paid Executive Director and dedicated space to manage the organization in its efforts to expand services and provide more comprehensive support to area law enforcement and the communities they serve. The organization proposed to each municipality and county within Jefferson, Orange and Hardin counties to make an annual contribution toward Crime Stoppers' infrastructure in an amount prorated per capita according to 2010 Census data to address funding required associated with staff and space. The pro-rated annual cost for participation determined based on Census data for the City of Port Arthur is $7,731.00. Golden Pass LNG wishes to donate the amount of$7,731.00 to cover said pro-rated annual costs as requested by Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas on behalf of the City of Port Arthur.
