We are aware of the essential role that Gulf Coast Health Center plays to supplement the development and operation of community-based health care service in medically underserved azeas and improves the health status of medically uninsured populations. The Center s discount or sliding fee scale defray some of the costs to provide services for those seeking treatment is an important incentive and encourages patients to address their needs. The federal funds are a critical factor in the center's ability to provide low cost health and dental caze, laboratory, x-ray; behavioral counseling and pharmacy services. We respectfully request that Gulf Coast Health Center's application for the Expanded Medical Capacity grant is endorsed to support the much-needed areas of our communities. LL Sincerely, Deloris "Bobbie" Prince Mayor
