RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LEASE PURCHASE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR
SECTION 4A ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
AND MEATHEAD TRUCKING, LLC IN THE HWY 73
BUSINESS PARK FOR 5.865 ACRES AT A COST OF $900 PER
MONTH
WHEREAS, City of Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development Corporation
("PAEDC") is the owner of approximately 5.865 acres of real property located in the City of Port
Arthur, Texas on Highway 73; and
WHEREAS, Meathead Trucking, LLC is the owner of a trucking company (the
"Tenant") and desires to lease the property for its trucking operations; and
WHEREAS, at their regular Board meeting on May 4, 2020, the PAEDC Board of
Directors agreed to enter into a five-year lease agreement with an option to purchase 5.865 acres
in the Highway 73 Business Park to Meathead Trucking, LLC for $900.00 per month as show in
Exhibit"A".
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PORT ARTHUR,TEXAS:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct detailed in the
proposal attached as Exhibit "A".
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Port Arthur hereby approves PAEDC
entering into a five-year lease agreement with an option to purchase 5.865 acres in the Highway
73 Business Park to Meathead Trucking, LLC for $900.00 per month as show in Exhibit "A".
Section 3. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of
the City Council.
READ, ADOPTED AND APPROVED on this day of A.D., 2020,
at a Meeting of the City Council of the City of Port Arthur, Texas, by the following vote:
