RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AS IT PERTAINS TO AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY ATTORNEY TO ORDER A
TITLE REPORT AND TO DO INSPECTIONS AS TO
POSSIBLY PURCHASE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 524
WEST' 6~" STREET, 528 WEST 6TH STREET, AND 560
WEST 6TH STREET
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to order a title report and
have City staff perform an inspection on the property located at
524 West 6th Street (Vacant Lot), 528 West 6th Street (Apartment
Complex and House), and 560 West 6t°~Street (House) as to the
possible purchase of the property; and
WHEREAS, the owner's representative has agreed to $50,000.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are
true and correct.
Section 2. That the City Manager and the City Attorney are
herein authorized to take such necessary steps as to examine title
and inspect the property as to determine if there are any unusual
or unexpected obstacles as it is expected that the property will be
demolished and used for Westside development, and commence the
steps as to possibly purchase the property located at 524 West 6th
Street (Vacant Lot), 528 West 6tn Street (Apartment Complex and
House), and 560 West 6th Street (House) on behalf of the City or its

affiliated entities.
Section 3. That the final transaction will not be
completed until the title report is received and inspections done
and funding is available, as approved by Council.
Section 4. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution
be spread upon-the Minutes of the City Council.
