ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF
A PALLET OF BRICKS FROM THE TRANSIT
ADMINISTRATION BUILDING BY A PUBLIC
ONLINE AUCTION THROUGH RENE BATES
AUCTIONEERS, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur has surplus property as described in Exhibit "A" to-
wit; pallet of bricks unused from the Transit Administration Building which has become obsolete
and/or non-functional; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be in the best interest of the City to sell
said property at an online auction to obtain the best possible price.
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager, together with the
Purchasing Manager, pursuant to Article XIV, Section 7 of the Charter of the City of Port
Arthur, to sell the above-named surplus property at an auction, said property attached hereto and
made a part hereof as Exhibit"A".
Section 2. That the City Manager, together with the Purchasing Manager are hereby
authorized and empowered to execute and deliver bills of sale or other instruments necessary to
transfer title to said items at the price bid.
Section 3. That this being an Ordinance not requiring publication the same shall take
effect and be in force immediately from and after its passage.
Section 4. That a copy of the caption of this Ordinance be spread upon the Minutes of
the City Council.
