The City requested bids for the mowing of groups III (Stonegate Aiea) and VII (Thomas Blvd). The bids received were 400%+ and 600%+ higher than what could reasonably be anticipated or budgeted. The Parks and Recreation Department has assumed the mowing and maintenance of these groups as a cost effective alternative to accepting the referenced bids. Additional resources are needed in order to assume these duties. Funding for this purchase was provided pursuant to Ordinance No. 08-30.
