BACKGROUND:- :The City of Port Ar[hur was one (]) of only five ,(5) recipients statewide to receive a Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Indoor Grant, and the only city to receive an Indoor and- Outdoor` Grant. This grab[ will further enhance City efforts to enrich the "quality of .life" for citizen's. Project Amendment No. 51-000060.1 to the TPWD Indoor Grant allows reimborsement for up to $4,000.00 for "pre-agreement costs incurred from.'July 31, 2007 to the date of project. approval". BUDGETARY/FISCAL EFFECT: Costs incurred bytfie City from July 31, 2007 to the date.ofproject approval will. be eligible for reimbursement: The project grant amount remains unchanged. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PROJECT AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT INDOOR.GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $417,563.00 AUTHORIZED BY RESOLUTION NO. 08-105. WHEREAS, the City Council pursuant to Resolution No. 08-105 accepted an award for a Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Indoor Gtant in the amount of $417,563.00 for the City of Port Arthur; and, WHEREAS, the Texas Parks and. Wildlife Department has issued Project Amendment No. 51-000060.1 to said grant; and, ' WHEREAS, said Amendment No.l provides "Pre-agreement costs incurred from July 31, 2007 to the date of project approval in the amount not to exceed $4,000.00 shall be-allowable." NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CFI'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: THAT the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. THAT the City Council hereby authorizes-the City Manager and the Interim Director of Parks and Recreation to execute any and all documents associated with the acceptance of Project Amendment 51-000060.1 in substantialiy the same form as attached hereto as Attachment "A".
