INVOCATION, PLEDGE & ROLL CALL Councilmember Frank gave the invocation followed with the pledge to the flag. The City Council of the City of Port Arthur met in Regular Session on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, Charlotte Moses; Councilmembers Cal Jones, Thomas Kinlaw, III, Harold Doucet, Sr. and Kaprina Frank; City Manager Ron Burton; City Secretary Sherri Bellard; City Attorney Valecia R. Tizeno and Sergeant At Arms Police Chief Tim Duriso. Councilmember Scott was absent from the Emergency Meeting. II. ITEMS REQUIRING INDIVIDUAL ACTION — NON-CONSENT A. Ordinance (1) P.O. No. 6898 - An Ordinance Extending The Declaration Of Disaster Pursuant To §418.108(b) Of The Texas Government Code As It Pertains To Hurricane Laura The Mayor introduced the above-mentioned Proposed Resolution. Upon the motion of Councilmember Kinlaw, seconded by Councilmember Jones and carried, Proposed Ordinance No. 6898 was adopted becoming Ordinance No. 20-77. Voting Yes: Mayor Bartie; Mayor Pro Tem Moses; Councilmembers Jones, Kinlaw, Doucet and Frank. Voting No: None. The caption of Resolution No. 20-77 reads as follows: RESOLUTION NO. 20-77 AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE DECLARATION OF DISASTER PURSUANT TO §418.108(B) OF THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE AS IT PERTAINS TO HURRICANE LAURA III. ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING Upon the motion by Councilmember Frank, seconded by Councilmember Doucet and carried unanimously, the City Council adjourned their meeting at 6:07 p.m. An audio-tape of this meeting is on file in the office of the City Secretary and is made a part of the official minutes of this meeting.
