Project Formulation and History
Disaster Recovery Plan
GOALS
•Leverage federal and non-federal
resources to rebuild the City and lives
of residents impacted;
•Provide new infrastructure to support
efforts to rebuild (e.g., street, utilities,
public facilities, water, sewer and
drainage);
•Disaster mitigation for future
disasters with both physical
infrastructureand regulatory reform.

DESIGNED SCOPE OF WORK
•Remove and replace undersized culverts
•Regrade roadside ditches
•Install improved outfall systems to efficiently convey
runoff to DD7’s pump station
•Design facilitiesbased on 25-year storm
•Private utility coordination
•Remove all ditches with depths >4 ft. for safety &
reduced maintenance
•Estimated Construction Duration: 17 months from
TDEM/FEMA award
