Introduction: The intent of this Agenda Item is to seek City Council's approval for the Port Arthur EDC to purchase furniture for 549 4th Street(The Press Building)with a projected budgetary impact of$230,467.75. This furniture will be purchased from Hernandez Office Solutions of Nederland,Texas,through the Texas Multiple Award Schedule(TXMAS)Cooperative Program. This quote is offered under TX Mas Contract TXMAS-19-7106. Background: There is a need to purchase furniture for The Press Building from Hernandez Office Supply in the amount of $230,467.75. The building will require office furniture for staff, conference rooms,meeting areas and common building space. This purchase also includes desks,chairs,filing solutions,tables,benches and other items that are essential to the daily operations of the building. The board approved this measure at its board meeting on August 2, 2021. Budget Impact: The cost for the furniture is$230,467.75 and is available in Account No. 120-80-625-8513-00-00-000. through TXMAS Contract 19-7106. Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council of the City of Port Arthur approve the purchase of furniture from Hernandez Office Supply in the amount of$230,467.75. P.R.
