Havens, Fire Chief RE: PR 22020 Purchases of Furniture and Fixtures to outfit the City of Port Arthur Emergency Operations Center Introduction: The intent of this agenda item is to seek the City Council's approval of Proposed Resolution 22020 authorizing the purchase of furniture and fixtures to outfit the City of Port Arthur Emergency Operations Center at a total cost of$48,289.39 from Hernandez Office Solutions, of Nederland, Texas. Background: The City of Port Arthur and the Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation partnered together and built an Emergency Operations Center to prepare for and efficiently and effectively manage and mitigate large scale emergency and disaster operations that impact the City of Port Arthur. If approved, PR22020 will allow the purchase of furniture and fixtures that will outfit the City of Port Arthur Emergency Operations Center, at a total cost of$48,289.39, that will make the space a functional workplace for emergency and disaster operations. Budget Impact: These furniture and fixtures items are to be purchased under TXMAS Contract#TXMAS-19- 7106; and from funds available in account no. MA7903-OTH-OCS.
