Supplyin>; # 2 Low Sulfur and Dved Diesel Fuel
RECOMMENDATIONS:
The Purchasing Division recommends that the City Council renew the Annual Contract
supplying Diesel #2 fuel for the City's Transit Center, Wastewater Treatment Plant on Hwy.
365, and dyed diesel for off road use for the Landfill to Petroleum Traders Corporation of
Fort Wayne, Indiana for an estimated amount of $171,000.
BACKGROUND:
On February 12, 2008 the council awazded Petroleum Traders Corporation the contract for
supplying Diesel Fuel with one additional renewable year. Petroleum Traders Corporation
was the lowest and best bid. Bidders were required to bid a price above or below the average
price published by the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) PAD 3 Report for the
Beaumont/Port Arthur azea or a firm fixed price. There is no price increase from last year.
BUDGET/FISCAL IMPACT:
This item was approved in each department's Fiscal Budget.
STAFF/EMPLOYEE EFFECT:
Acceptance of this recommendation should have no effect on staffing levels.
