We recommend the City Council authorize Overhead Door of Beaumont, Inc. to perform Various Door Repairs at the Main and Port Acres WWTP's in the total amount of $29,741, due to damages sustained during Hurricane Ike. Hurricane Ike caused damage to seven (7) 3' exterior doors, one garage door, one rolling metal door, and two (2) 12'tall doors in six (6) buildingsthroughoutthe Main and PortAcres WWTP's. We requested quotesforthiswork from several vendors, but were only able to receive the two bids shown below: Bidder Total Bid Overhead Door of Beaumont $29,741. Beaumont, TX Parker Service $38,263. Nederland, TX BUDGET/FISCAL EFFECT We will apply for funding from insurance and/or FEMA for these expenses. Eligibility has not been determined at this time. Account No. 121-2300-901.92-00, project no. IKEWAT will be used for this purpose. STAFFINGIEMPLOYEE EFFECT None.
