Re: Property for Community Garden
This is a written request for the use of the property at the
corner of West 7th Street and Grannis Avenue. As discussed
in the meeting held on your office on yesterday with the City
Manager and Mr. Lewis, the property will be used to build a
flower and vegetable garden. We will also be adding benches
and two bird bathes on that site. Members of TEEN COURT
will initiate the work involved with this project. We will also
obtain assistance from those who qualify to work through the
Texas Workforce Power Zone program. This is also an
opportunity to team up with the members of the Port Arthur
Youth Council and complete a community based project.
The legal description of this property is Lot 1 Block 3, W. H.
Schmyser, Subdivision No. 3
