Attached is P. R. No. 15201 appointing a committee as it
pertains to the Homeless Prevention Program. This was tabled at
the April 21, 2009 Council Meeting.
The City Manager has requested that Mary Essex be added to
this committee and the proposed resolution has been updated to add
her name.
The Mayor has requested to be on the committee.

RESOLIITION NO.
A RESOLIITION APPOINTING A COMMITTEE AS IT
PERTAINS TO THE HOMELESS PREVENTION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City is applying for funds, as delineated in
Exhibit "A", as to assist the homeless; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to appoint a committee as it
pertains to facilitating this program; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager is recommending that Albert Thigpen,
Director of Human Resources, Mary Essex, Grants Program Manager,
and Yoshi Alexander, Director of Health Department, serve on the
committee together with such other citizens as are appointed by the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has requested to be on the committee.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COIINCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT ARTHIIR:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble
are true and correct.
Section 2. That the following persons are appointed to
this committee:
Albert Thigpen, Director of Human Resources
Yoshi Alexander, Director of Health Department
Mary Essex, Grants Program Manager
Mayor Deloris "Bobbie" Prince

be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
