Introduction: This Agenda Item intends to request a public hearing to consider a zoning change from Single Family (SF) to Planned Development District — 41 (PD-41) for 3.562 (Called 3.5625) acres of Land, Tract II, Reserve "B", Fairway Estates, Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas. The purpose of this request is to allow for a residential subdivision consisting of patio homes. Background: The Planning & Zoning Commission will review this case on December 6, 2021. Budget Impact: None Recommendation: It is recommended that City Council approve P.R. No. 22093, calling for a public hearing to consider a zoning change from Single Family (SF) to Planned Development District — 41 (PD-41) for 3.562 (Called 3.5625) acres of Land, Tract II, Reserve "B", Fairway Estates, Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas. A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER GRANTING A ZONING CHANGE FROM SINGLE FAMILY TO PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT - 42 FOR APPROXIMATELY 3.562 (CALLED 3.5625) ACRES OF LAND CONSISTING OF TRACT II, RESERVE "B", FAIRWAY ESTATES, CITY OF PORT ARTHUR, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS WHEREAS, it is being requested that City Council consider a zoning change for the area deiineated in Exhibit `A"from Single Family"SF"to Planned Development District —41 "PD-41"; and, WHEREAS, pursuant of Chapter 211 in the Texas Local Government Code, a public hearing must precede any zoning change. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: THAT the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. THAT the Planning and Zoning Commission will review this case on December 6, 2021 . THAT a public hearing to consider whether to grant the zoning change request for approximately 3.562 (Called 3.5625) acres of Land, consisting of Tract II, Reserve "B", Fairway Estates, Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas, as delineated in Exhibit "A" shall be held on January 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers, Fifth Floor, City Hall, 444 4th Street, or by telephonic and videoconference. THAT notice of the public hearing shall be published at least fifteen days prior in the official newspaper of the City before going to the City Council. THAT a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council.
