Funds available in account number 120-80-625- 5241-00-00-000. Introduction: The intent of this Agenda Item is to seek City Council's approval for the Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development Corporation to purchase five(5)small form computers from Dell Technologies. Background: There are five displays in the co-working/conference room space at 549 4th Street (The Press Building)that require small form computers to function at the height of technology in the conference rooms and co-working spaces. They will facilitate virtual meetings, presentations and many other business necessities. Budget Impact: The cost of these computers is$1,167.11 each with a cost of five for a total of$5,835.55. Funds are available in account number 120-80-625-5241-00-00-000. Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council of the City of Port Arthur approve the purchase of five(5) small form computers from Dell Technologies by the City of Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development Corporation. WHEREAS, the City Council deems it is the public interest to authorize the City of Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development Corporation (the "PAEDC") to retrofit the property located at 549 4th Street in downtown Port Arthur; and WHEREAS,there is a need for five(5)small form computers that will provide technology capabilities for the displays in the conference rooms and co-working spaces at a cost of$5,835.55; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation approved this purchase at its regular board meeting on November 1, 2021.
