Retrofit Project is in final design before bid. City of Port Arthur -City Council American Rescue Plan Act Public Hearing IDENTIFIED INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS Water/Sewer Infrastructure Improvements ($18M) Water Mains Replacement Project is in final design review. Preparing for bid. Main WWTP Rebuild Cost Share Project bid received –city negotiating price. Sabine Pass WWTP and Lift Repair (in-house project; estimate in process) Landfill Slope Stabilization ($2M) Project is ongoing, initial reconfiguration is complete. Westside Drainage Improvement at 17th and 19th Ave. ($2M) Project has not been let for design. Selection anticipated by February 2022. City of Port Arthur -City Council American Rescue Plan Act Public Hearing IDENTIFIED BROADBAND SERVICES PROJECTS Improve Broadband speeds to underserved areas of the City ($1M) Project will undergo a needs and capacity analysis to identify the strategic focus of new services. Intent is to augment the intranet capacity at Landfill as well. Not part of the Economic Development IT Grant. City of Port Arthur -City Council American Rescue Plan Act Public Hearing IDENTIFIED LOSS REVENUE PROJECTS Extend National Displaced Workers ($80K) Several NDW temp employees assisting in the Recreation Department will be extended for 3 months. Houston Ave. Road Repair ($200K) Project design is complete and contractor selection and NTP underway. Garbage Collection Support ($480K) Augment city garbage collection operations. YMCA Support at West Side Community Center ($80K) Sub-recipient agreement for YMCA workers to continue to provide program support for one year. BRIC Application Matching Funds ($160K) December 2020 Application for emergency generators at Health Dept, Equipment Services, Civic Center, Landfill
