RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PROCEEDING WITH THE
DISANNEXATION OF LAND ALONG BRAI DRIVE AT THE REQUEST
OF THE LANDOWNERS
WHEREAS, the City Council has been requested by the landowners of properties
along Brai Drive to disannex land as denoted in Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur can disannex, per the procedure denoted in
Section 43.142 of the Texas Local Government Code, and per Article I, Section 6, of the
City Charter; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the best interest of the citizens to
authorize proceeding with the disannexation of the property denoted in Exhibit "A", as
requested by landowners.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby authorizes proceeding with the
disannexation of the property requested by the landowners (Exhibit "A") per the
procedure denoted in Section 43.142 of the Texas Local Government Code, and per
Article I, Section 6, of the City Charter.
Section 3. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the
Minutes of the City Council.
