RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PORT ARTHUR
COALITION FOR HOMELESS ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 22-17 created the Port Arthur Coalition for Homeless
Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, membership to the Port Arthur Coalition for Homeless Advisory
Board is composed of fourteen (14) members; and
WHEREAS, each Councilmember and the Mayor shall select two (2) members in
conjunction with each City Council seat ; and
WHEREAS, the appointees will serve two (2) year terms and will continue to
serve until they are replaced or reappointed; and
WHEREAS, vacancies shall be filled by the city council member serving in the
position making the original appointment for the unexpired term; and
WHEREAS, the scope of duties of the Port Arthur Coalition for Homeless
Advisory Board is delineated in the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 14, Section 14-701,
and in Ordinance No. 22-17; and
WHEREAS, the makeup of the Committee is delineated in Exhibit"A".
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PORT ARTHUR:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct.
Section 2. That the Mayor and Councilmembers appoint fourteen (14)
members on the Port Arthur Coalition for Homeless Advisory Board, as delineated in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto.

Section 3. That the terms of the member shall be two years.
READ, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED this day of
2022 at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Port Arthur, Texas, by the
