Funds available in EDC Account No. 120-80-625-5312-00-00-000. Introduction: There is a need for pest control services at 549 4th Street (The Press Building). Background: The Port Arthur Economic Development Corporation desires to contract with • AATTABOY TERMITE&PEST CONTROL,INC.for pest control services at The Press Building. In order to comply with health inspection directives,pest control is needed on a monthly basis for the LSCPA teaching kitchens,the bistro area and the lease kitchen. The entire building will be treated quarterly. Also,eight(8)rodent stations will be placed along the perimeter of the building and serviced by the pest control company. Bids were solicited from three companies: Security Pest Control, AATTABOY TERMITE & PEST CONTROL, INC., and Tri-City Extermination Company. Security Pest Management failed to submit a complete bid in a timely manner. Budget Impact: The budget impact for this item is $280.00 for eight(8)rodent stations, $250.00 per month to service the food areas(teaching kitchens, lease kitchen and bistro area), $300.00 for quarterly service for the remainder of the building, and a one-time initial treatment fee for the entire building of$830.00 for an annual total of$5,030.00. The contract is attached hereto. Funds are available in EDC Account No. 120- 80-625-5312-00-00-000. Recommendation: It is recommended that the PAEDC Board of Directors approve a pest control contract between the PAEDC and AATTABOY TERMITE&PEST CONTROL, INC., for pest control treatment of The Press Building. WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development Corporation obtained bids for pest control services at 549 4th Street (The Press Building); and WHEREAS, Aattaboy Termite & Pest Control, Inc. submitted the lowest, qualified bid for said services; and WHEREAS, the City of Port Arthur Section 4A Economic Development Corporation desires to enter into a contract for pest control services with Aattaboy Termite&Pest Control, Inc. as attached hereto as Exhibit"A".
