granting a Specific Use Permit for
approximately 0.3003-Acre of Land,
consisting of Tract 3-A,Block 1,Alamo
Heights Addition (A.K.A 3937 9th
Avenue)Port Arthur,Jefferson County,
Texas.
Background…
February 7, 2022 –Application for Specific Use
Permit was submitted to Planning Division.
A public hearing was held by the Planning and
Zoning Commission for April 4, 2022, at 5:30 p.m.
Public Notice was mailed and published in the Port
Arthur Newspaper.
The Planning Commission voted 3:0 recommending
approval of said request.
On April 26, 2022, City Council approved Resolution
No. 22-183, calling for a public hearing.
Notification was mailed to adjacent property owners,
as well as published in the Port Arthur Newspaper.
Current/Proposed Zoning…
Current Zoning: Planned Development 14–promote flexibility in land development for unique projects. This zoning is site specific, and encourages development that is compatible with its surroundings and consistent with the comprehensive plan.
Proposed Zoning: Planned Development-14–There will be no change in the zoning.
