Next Steps
Today’s agenda item for City Council’s consideration is the adoption of the Notice of Intent to Issue Certificates of Obligation
This would be the first step in the process
It authorizes a notice of the proposed Certificates of Obligation in the newspaper of general circulation, once a week for two consecutive weeks
The notice includes the following:
Describes the projects to be funded
Provides the not-to-exceed amount that could be issued
Provides the date at which City Council expects to consider formal action
The first publication cannot be less than 45 days before City Council considers formal action
