RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ALTERNATES TO THE
ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS
WHEREAS, the members of the ZBA are delineated in Exhibit "A' ;attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor of Port Arthur has been requested to appoint altemates to serve on the
Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA); and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 25-100 of the Zoning Ordinance, the Mayor, with the
approval of the City Council, can appoint members and alternates to the Zoning Board of
Adjustment and Appeals; Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR:
THAT the following persons are approved and appointed as additional alternates to the Zoning
Board of Adjustment and Appeals with the term cormnencing on August 15, 2009 and ending
on August 15, 2011.
THAT any or all of the alternates can act in the absence of the other members to enable the
ZBA to operate in compliance with all of Sections 25-200 to 25-203 of the Zoning Ordinance
and subsequence subparagraphs therein, that a quorum shall be obtained for scheduled Board
meetings; as well as in accordance with Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 211 and
subsections 211.08.211.09 and 211.010.
THAT a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City
Council.
