Staff Analysis, Considerations: Last year the Fire Department staff worked with Webb's Uniforms, LLC and developed a more efficient uniform purchasing option for uniform shirts, pants, and duty boots than previously used. This vendor has the ability to provide all of the Fire Departments uniform needs with BuyBoard pricing under BuyBoard contract no. 670-22. These items are replaced on an as needed basis. Recommendations: The Fire Department recommends approval of this resolution. Budget Considerations: The contract amount has budgeted for in Fire Department Account#001-19-047-5251-00-30-000 "Remember we are here to serve the Citizens of Port Arthur" P. O. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH WEBB'S UNIFORMS, LLC OF SPRING, TEXAS, UNDER A BUYBOARD CONTRACT NO. 587-19, FOR THE PURCHASE OF UNIFORMS FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, WITH A PROJECTED BUDGETARY IMPACT OF $50, 000 .00; FUNDING AVAILABLE IN FIRE DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT NO. 001-19-047-5251-00-30-000. WHEREAS, the Port Arthur Fire Department purchases and supplies uniform shirts, pants, belts, hats, winter jackets and duty boots for its employees; and WHEREAS, Webb' s Uniforms, LLC is an approved vendor through a Buyboard contract; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 271 of the Local Government Code, a city may participate in a cooperative purchasing program such as BuyBoard; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 02-341, the City of Port Arthur entered into an interlocal agreement for cooperative purchasing with the BuyBoard Cooperative Purchasing Program; and WHEREAS; Webb' s Uniform, LLC, has provided a quote for uniform shirts, pants, belts, hats, winter jackets and duty boots with BuyBoard Contract No. 587-19 pricing; (see quotes attached hereto as Exhibit "A" ) ; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct . Section 2 . That the City Council herein authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Webb' s Uniform, LLC, of Spring, Texas, through a BuyBoard Contract No. 587-19 for the purchase of Fire Department uniforms, with a projected budgetary impact of $50, 000, in substantially the same form as attached hereto as Exhibit "B" . Section 3 . That a copy of the caption of this resolution shall be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council . No. 22792 9/26/22 rlh EXHIBIT "B" CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF UNIFORM SHIRTS, PANTS, BELTS, HATS, WINTER JACKETS, AND DUTY BOOTS FOR FIREFIGHTERS THIS AGREEMENT, made this day of , 2022, by and between the City of Port Arthur, a municipal corporation organized under the laws of the State of Texas, hereinafter called "Owner" or "City" and WEBB'S UNIFORMS, LLC, a Corporation herein acting by and through its AGENT, ,hereinafter called "Contractor". WITNESSETH: That for and in consideration of the payments, terms, conditions, and agreements set forth herein, OWNER and CONTRACTOR agree as follows: 1) The Port Arthur Fire Department purchases uniform shirts, pants, belts, hats, winter jackets and duty boots. 2) The Contractor agrees to provide uniform shirts, pants, belts, hats, winter jackets and duty boots as specified in the attached specifications at the unit costs specified in the contract documents. 3) The term of the Contract is for a one-year period. 4) The term"Contract Documents"means and includes the following: 1. Agreement 2. Quote with Buy Board Pricing 5) This agreement shall be binding upon all parties hereto and their respective heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns. 6) IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed, or caused to be executed by their duly authorized officials, this Agreement in (2 copies) each of which shall be deemed an original on the date first written above.
