REGARDING THE VOLUNTARY DISANNEXATION
OF PROPERTY
Port Arthur City Hall, 444 Fourth Street, Port Arthur, Texas
LEGAL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under the provisions of Chapter 43 of the Texas Local Government
Code and per Article I, Section 6, of the Charter of the City of Port Arthur that the City of Port Arthur will
hold two (2) public hearings for the purpose of receiving public comments on the proposed initiation of
disannexation proceedings for the tracts of land generally described and depicted in the map below.
A map of the proposed area to be disannexed is also available for inspection at Port Arthur City Hall, 444
Fourth Street, Port Arthur, Texas between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and
continuously online at www.portarthurtx.gov.
Notice is hereby given of a Public Hearing of the City Council of Port Arthur, Texas to be held pursuant to
Chapter 43.142 of the Local Government Code, in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, Fifth Floor, 444
Fourth Street, on Tuesday, October 25,2022 at 6:00 p.m. to consider disannexation of said tracts of land. A
second Public Hearing will be held at Special Meeting held on Tuesday, November 1,2022 at 10:00 a.m. in
the City Council Chambers City Hall, Fifth Floor, 444 Fourth Street.
After the two (2) required public hearings have taken place, the City Council will consider an ordinance for
the disannexation at its Regular City Council meeting on November 22, 2022.
