ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR HOLIDAY PAY FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2022/2023 (REQUESTED BY
COUNCILMEMBERS KINLAW, MARKS, MOSES AND
HOLMES)
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide for holiday pay of $300.00 per
permanent full-time employees and City temporary employees of the City of Port Arthur to
be paid on December 16, 2022.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PORT ARTHUR:
Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct.
Section 2. That all permanent, full-time city employees and City temporary
employees that are still employed in the first pay period in December 2022 will receive
$300.00 in holiday pay on December 16, 2022.
Section 3. That said money shall be paid from each Department's Payroll Account.
Section 4. That a copy of the caption of this Ordinance be spread upon the
Minutes of the City Council.
Section 5. That this being an Ordinance which does not carry a penalty, and does
not require publication, it shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
READ, ADOPTED AND APPROVED on this day of November, A.D., 2022,
at a Council Meeting of the City Council of the City of Port Arthur, Texas, by the following
vote:
