BACKGROUND: Over the past several years, the City has acquired numerous pieces of military surplus equipment, which is utilized during hurricane evacuations and emergency operations throughout the City. Some of these pieces of equipment have never been serviced and others require routine maintenance in order to ensure they are ready in time of emergency. The City requested quotes on the parts list and received responses from Memphis Equipment, Memphis, TN; Boyce Equipment, Ogden, UT; and Midwest Jeep, Roselle, IL. Midwest Jeep advised they do not carry all of the items which are needed. Memphis Equipment $7,658.27 + Shipping Boyce Equipment $6,071.88 Shipping Included BUDGET/FISCAL EFFECT: Funds are available in account 001-1101-521.43-00 for this purchase. STAFF/EMPLOYEE EFFECT: Approval of this purchase will not affect staffing.
