The Service Order will allow the continuation of the current fiber internet service located at City Hall for a reduced monthly rate of$1,099.00. Background: The City of Port Arthur heavily relies on internet services for daily operations. The service agreement with Spectrum Enterprise will reduce the current amount paid for internet services at the City Hall location. Budget Impact: Services will be billed monthly at $1,099.00 per month. The total amount for 36 months is $39,564.00. Funds have been budgeted in the Information Technology communications account 001-09-023-5482-00-10-000-. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE A 36- MONTH SPECTRUM ENTERPRISE SERVICE ORDER TO CONTINUE PROVIDING INTERNET SERVICE AT CITY HALL FOR A PROJECTED ANNUAL AMOUNT OF $13,188.00. FUNDING IS AVAILABLE IN THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COMMUNICATION ACCOUNT 001-09-023-5482-00-10-000-. WHEREAS,the City heavily relies on internet services for daily operations; and WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to have primary and secondary internet providers; and WHEREAS,Spectrum Enterprise serves as the primary internet provider for the City;and WHEREAS, AT&T serves as the secondary internet provider for the City; and WHEREAS, Spectrum Enterprise currently provides internet services at a monthly rate of $1,199.00; and WHEREAS, the Spectrum Enterprise Service Order reduces the monthly fee to $1,099.00; and WHEREAS,the Spectrum Enterprise Service Order is attached as"Exhibit A". NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR: Section 1. That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. Section 2. That,the City Council hereby authorizes the 36-month Spectrum Enterprise Service Order for internet service at a projected annual amount of$13,188.00, in substantially the same form as attached hereto as Exhibit"A". Section 3. That a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council. P.R.
