Brandt Recognition In The Amount Of$46,371.29 For Employee Service Award Pins For Years 2019-2021 Comment Recommendation: It is recommended the City Council of the City of Port Arthur adopt Proposed Resolution No. 22977 which awards a bid to J. Brandt Recognition in the amount of$46,371.29 for employee service award pins for years 2019-2021. Background: The City of Port Arthur offers a program that reflects the hard work and dedication of its employees through presentation of employee service awards upon completion of five (5) year increments with the organization. The Purchasing Department prepared notifications via email to approximately fifteen(15) vendors for quotes for the employee service awards. There were two (2) responses from vendors and J. Brandt Recognition was the vendor with the lower and more reasonable pricing for the employee service awards. Budgetary/Fiscal Effect: The Other Supplies -Materials account(620-11-025-5214-00-00-000) will be used to purchase the employee service awards for the years 2019-2021. Staffing/Employee Effect: None. Summary: It is recommended the City Council of the City of Port Arthur adopt Proposed Resolution No. 22977 which awards a bid to J. BRANDT RECOGNITION OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS IN THE AMOUNT OF $46,371.29; FUNDS AVAILABLE IN OTHER SUPPLIES — MATERIALS ACCOUNT NO. 620-11-025- 5214-00-00-000 WHEREAS, employees of the City of Port Arthur shall be presented service awards upon completion of five-year increments with the City; and, WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department requested quotes from approximately fifteen vendors (see Specs attached hereto as Exhibit"A"); and, WHEREAS, J. Brandt Recognition was the lowest quote of the two received (see quote attached hereto as Exhibit`B"). NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ARTHUR, TEXAS: THAT That the facts and opinions in the preamble are true and correct. THAT the City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of employee service pins for the years of 2019, 2020, 2021 through J. Brandt Recognition for the price of$46,371.29 (a copy of said quote is attached hereto as Exhibit`B"); and, THAT a copy of the caption of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the City Council of the City of Port Arthur.
