March 10, 2023 –Application for the zoning change was submitted to the Planning Division.
March 28 , 2023 –Public Notice published in Port Arthur Newspaper/notification sent to adjacent property owners within 200 ft.
A public hearing was held by the Planning and Zoning Commission on April 17, 2023, at 5:30 p.m.
The Planning Commission voted 4:0 recommending denial of said request.
On April 11, 2023, City Council approved Res. No. 23-168,calling for a public hearing.
April 22, 2023, Notification was published in the Port Arthur Newspaper.

Commercial Retail (CR)–To provide a location for light commercial and retail activities. These locations are typically along major thoroughfares and highways.

Low Density Residential (LDR) –Is primarily for single family dwellings and related recreational and educational facilities.
