WATSON, DIRECTOR OF PLANNING ~'L ~ PUBLIC HEARING ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT Z03-04 (WILLIAMS/RAO) 06/18/03 REQUEST: The applicant is requesting that this 155 acre tract located on the south side of Hwy 365 approximately 1900 west of Hwy 69 be rezoned to Light Commercial. BACKGROUND: This 155 acre tract of land includes the proposed Iasis Hospital and Medical Office Building sites. Access will be provided by an extension of Jimmy Johnson Blvd. and a 4- lane road from Hwy 365 to the hospital site. The construction of these roads will open additional area to development. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: The Planning and Zoning Commission met on Monday, June 16, 2003 and recommended that this request be approved. They felt that the proposed use would be appropriate for the area. PUBLIC COMMENT: 14 property owners were notified of the proposed zoning change.
